Committees
The purpose of NCCER’s committees is to advise the NCCER Board of Trustees and staff on ways to continuously improve its craft and safety-related curricula, certifications, products, programs and procedures. Committees may also recommend new products and programs. Committee members provide valuable insight from both the industry and education sectors that helps ensure NCCER is providing training and certifications aligned with the needs of the construction and maintenance industries.
NCCER National Safety Committee
The mission of the committee is to advise NCCER on ways to continuously improve craft and safety-related curricula, certifications, products, programs, and procedures, and to recommended new safety-related products and programs. The committee works closely with the NCCER Workforce Development Committee to ensure that quality safety training is an integral part of every NCCER curriculum. Committee members serve as Subject Matter Experts in overseeing the development and maintenance of safety training programs and providing advice and direction on occupational safety and health issues.

Pipeline User's Council
The NCCER Pipeline User’s Council advises NCCER on ways to continuously improve its pipeline-related curricula, products, programs, and procedures, and to recommend new pipeline-related products and programs. The committee works closely with the NCCER Workforce Development Committee to ensure that quality pipeline training is available and maintained. Committee members serve as Subject Matter Experts in overseeing the development and maintenance of pipeline programs, work with partnering organizations to develop and deliver quality pipeline training, and provide advice and direction on pipeline and associated regulatory issues.

Workforce Development Committee
The NCCER Workforce Development Committee serves as an advisory group to the NCCER Board of Trustees for all workforce development issues and will present recommendations to the NCCER Board of Trustees for discussion and approval. Any member of the Workforce Development Committee may initiate issues for consideration by the entire committee; to provide for discussion, research, and implementation after approval from the NCCER Board of Trustees.
The Committee reviews and discusses areas of concern or need and brings forth innovative ideas to ensure every craft professional using an NCCER program has an equitable opportunity to learn and demonstrate skill, knowledge and competency in their chosen craft(s), and to receive credentials appropriate to their performance.
