NCCER Publishes Third Edition of Field Safety Curriculum
The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) has published the third edition of its Field Safety curriculum. This versatile training curriculum supports jobsite safety through the education of craft professionals and trainees, as well as supervisors, managers and other leadership personnel.
In the curriculum’s third edition, content has been updated to align with the most up-to-date industry best practices, safety requirements and regulations. Among the new content is additional coverage about motor vehicle safety, forklifts, crane safety and excavations. Digital tools and resources have also been enhanced as part of the revision, including self-guided learning components and narrated walk-throughs, videos, interactive activities and extra practice quizzes.
NCCER’s Field Safety curriculum aligns with requirements for OSHA 30 training and can be used by an OSHA-certified instructor to help trainees earn both an NCCER credential and an OSHA 30-Hour training card. The Field Safety curriculum also plays a key role in NCCER’s Construction Site Safety Supervisor (CSSS) and the Construction Site Safety Technician (CSST) credentials.
