MMR Group Announces New Enhancements and Recognition

Redesigning the Brand 

Recognizing a need, the company launched a new website and company videos featuring a modern design. With improved functionality and easy navigation, the MMR Group company clearly depicts its role and experience among the industrial construction industry to its clients.

MMR Group worked closely with SASSO Agency to redesign and create a new website, multi-lingual assets and collateral that would reflect the strength and support of MMR’s brand across foreign markets.

“We are pleased to launch the new website and feel it will serve as a useful, informative portal for users to grasp a better understanding of what MMR has to offer,” said MMR President and CEO James “Pepper” Rutland. “The site truly ties together the span of our services, robust experience in the industrial industry and allows visitors to easily access company information, locations, history, and news.”

Through its simple-to-navigate structure, the website showcases a diverse list of services, workforce development efforts and MMR Group’s health and wellness initiatives.

Craft Training Center 

Offering professional growth to the next generation of craft professionals, the MMR Craft Training Center, “seeks to drive its craftsmen ahead of the projected manpower shortages and ensure that those who are entering the field are equipped with the right tools and training to be successful.”

Through in-house training, individuals seeking a career path in the construction industry can receive of number of NCCER certifications in a facility designed to provide hands-on training and detailed assessments. Among the list of NCCER courses available, include Instrumentation Fitter, Instrumentation Technician, Industrial Maintenance Electrical & Instrumentation Technician and more. With a 15,000 square foot space and 37 stations for training, the center offers a unique approach to learning while under the guidance of a Master Instructor.

Designed with the future in mind, MMR Group strives to develop qualified, skilled craft professionals and recognizes a wide array of talent. For its team, employees are eligible for various vendor certifications, MMR certification and other available programs. Further, the company works with local high schools, trade schools and universities, preparing students for the industrial construction industry.

Receiving the Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance Craft Workforce Development Award for the past four years, MMR Group continues to develop its craft training center for the future workforce.

Acknowledging Achievements 

Earning multiple recognitions, for the 2020-year, MMR Group announced its designation on the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Top Performers List.

“MMR is honored to receive ABC’s highest recognitions by delivering on our commitment to safety and quality, leading the workforce in best training and development practices, achieving project excellence and establishing goodwill in the communities where we live and work,” said Rutland.

The company took first place as the top-performing electrical contractor in the nation and third place overall on the U.S. commercial and industrial construction industry list of top performers. Recognition is based on achievements in safety, project excellence, diversity and other factors.

Based on safety performance, MMR Group reached Diamond status in ABC’s STEP Safety Management System. According to the ABC 2020 Safety performance Report, contractors at this level is are up to 827% safer than the industry average.

Also designated as an Accredited Quality Contractor, MMR Group’s status as a top performer is attributed to projects and awards from the following year as well as its current commitment to the industry.

“ABC Top Performers are the best large contractors in the merit shop construction industry, demonstrating the highest commitment to world-class safety, craftmanship, workforce development, and community engagement,” said Michael Bellaman, president and chief executive officer of ABC. “These rankings identify contractors like MMR that will continue to lead our industry as we adopt innovative technologies, tackle industry-wide challenges such as the workforce shortage, and lead us into a new decade.”
