High Schools
High schools are critically important in building successful career pathways for individuals and in creating talent pipelines for industry. For this reason, NCCER has been providing quality education programs and credentials to high schools for over 20 years.
NCCER for High Schools
NCCER programs are designed to meet the standards and requirements schools need to secure federal and state funding. Our vast network also provides opportunities for students to continue their training after graduation and potential for schools to develop articulation agreements with postsecondary programs.
Meeting standards and requirements
NCCER’s programs meet Perkins Funding requirements, pre-apprenticeship standards, and provide instructor certification programs. We offer flexible learning opportunities that lead to industry-recognized credentials and align with certifications like OSHA 10, AWS SENSE and HVAC Excellence.
Career pathways and articulation
Work-based learning opportunities in high school and articulation to postsecondary programs, including registered apprenticeships, are important components of NCCER’s high-quality CTE program of study. Our accredited network of more than 2,200 postsecondary schools provides learners with many options to build on their construction education from high school. We also accredit nearly 1,000 contractors around the country actively looking to enhance their teams with the next generation of construction professionals.
Accreditation Options
NCCER provides multiple options for high schools to utilize our programs and take full advantage of the suite of services and tools.

- In some states, the Department of Education is accredited and the high schools in their state can participate under them. Check with your state or contact us.
- NCCER’s High School Builder Program is designed specifically for schools that are just starting their construction CTE journey. Our program provides expert guidance and support to overcome the obstacles of setting up a successful CTE program. Click here to learn more.
